According to AT&T spokesman Fletcher Cook, the
iPhone will become available through AT&T’s website as well as other outlets after the initial launch.These “other outlets” are likely the other franchise outlets that carry AT&T phones, but are not owned by the company. There are 8,000 such franchise outlets and retail stores carrying AT&T phones.
