There was some speculation about further Google Applications being available on the iPhone when it launches. Thanks to the release of the Safari 3 beta, we now know that Google Docs and Spreadsheets should work on the iPhone.

If you check out the Safari 3 beta, you’ll be able to see that for the first time, Google Docs and Spreadsheets works on the Apple browser. Now putting that together with the knowledge that Safari will be running a full version of Safari, we’ll be able to use the search giant’s text and spreadsheet editors.

What makes us worry though is usability of this software. If you look at the picture above, that looks pretty cramped. That’s without even putting in an onscreen keyboard. Of course, that’s not a real image of the software running on an iPhone, so hopefully they will make these apps fit better.
