The administrator began to sweat slowly. The administrator understood nothing, therefore has started log-files. And was stupefied.

They found out that 10-megabit wireless network was stopped by frequent signals on the requirement to give the MAC-address (the identifier of a network card). It is known, that Wi-Fi networks “remember” device address during some time. If gadget disconnect from a network, and then again to switch on, sometimes there is a reference to the old address, and new address does not give out. The university network has faced that some gadget with periodicity of 8,000 times in a second interrogates access points if the user from one zone of a signal has passed in another, but the MAC-address was not in time, will be nulled in memory of the device. The cause had appeared one student’s iPhone.

30 iPhones are capable to bring down any Wi-Fi a network in few seconds. It is some glitch of the equipment. In Apple the official report on a bug is already directed.
