Though the information on successful and definitive unlocking of Apple iPhone still circulates at level of rumors, convincing break was outlined in absolutely other area: by the end of last week on resource Code.google.com has appeared first application for new communicator of Apple, which:
a) is not the Web-application;
b) is not written with use of official Software Development Kit.
In other words, at the beginning of August the first high-grade 3rd-party application for Apple iPhone from foreign developer has been released. Here it is:

All as is very simple: green lines on a black background, the virtual keyboard, own unique icon and v0.85 in version number.
One sight at a screenshot is enough to understand a program purpose - it is a graphic cover for installed in iPhone command interpreter, mobile alternative to habitual Terminal.app, from here and the corresponding name - MobileTerminal. Now source codes and the compiled code of application together with self-made description (assemblage, installation, cunnings and dodges) are accessible on one of Google sites, and for theese three days from release of different distribution kits of MobileTerminal, from Cupertino has not arrived requirements to quickly close this shop. Optimists are already ready to consider this inactivity of Apple as an advice to all independent programmers “to start their engines”. So it seems that at last has come a time to be pulled out beyond limits of Web-applications for mobile version Safari. If i judge by video with demonstration of MobileTerminal, this possibility takes developers into nirvana.
