For this moment in the Internet exists several hundreds applications which expand possibilities of Apple iPhone. Installer.app is a manager of packages for iPhone, which supports semi-automatic installation, updating and deleting of packages. The system of packages reminds apt and ipkg from Linux world.

Installer.app is a UIKit based package manager for the iPhone. It works by downloading packages over WiFi (wireless networking) or EDGE. It supports installing, updating and uninstalling applications.
And the utility iPHUC will be estimated by those users who knows the command line perfectly. It allows to get from your Mac desktop through the Terminal full access of your Apple iPhone. After that you can manually transfer to the device files, to start scripts etc.
System requirements: Mac OS X 10.4.
Distribution conditions: freeware.

I risk to assume, that release of these applications will raise a huge boom of new concepts for iPhone. Thus it is possible to expect, that this “race” will join not only fans and enthusiasts, but also quite solid companies.
