Famous 17-year-old superhacker George Hotz who sell first unlocked Apple iPhone on eBay, but then swap it for a Nissan 350Z and three 8GB iPhones doesn’t want to go to college, he thinks he smart enough without college’s education… Well, he’s now working on a new project with Apple iPhone, he tries to make from iPhone a modern GPS navigator, not bad idea, George.
Despite starting a new semester at RIT, Hotz is also doing consultancy work with Certicell and Puremobile as well as trying to figure out how to triangulate geographical position using cell towers.
My project for now is a GPS for the iPhone that uses triangluation from the cell phone towers. I believe the towers are public record and you can use an AT command to get signal strengh.
