If you suddenly found out that your lovely iPhone refuses to get audio signal through earpieces (you don’t hear a call), but it deliver sound only when with speakerphone option turned on, or you have a bug when no audio is delivered through headphones or through stereo headset, don’t worry. Recently there is appeared very simple fix. You need to unplug then re-plug headphones or any other compatible device into Apple iPhone’s audio jack several times.
But there is another problem that may appeare after this fi, your iPhone could “forget” which mode it is in, erroneously thinking that it should still send audio through the audio jack instead of the earpiece. You should try the following method to fix this bug:
* Reset your iPhone by holding down the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears;
* Restore your iPhone: Click the Restore button under the Summary tab. Restoring the phone will erase contacts, calendars, photos and other data on the phone, but will restore automatically backed-up information including text messages, notes, call history, contact favorites, sound settings, widget settings, etc.
Big thanks for this manual to iPhoneAtlas
Recently i have posted article about successful hardware iPhone’s unlock, after that many iPhone’s users have approved succesfull hardware unlock of own iPhone. But there are some users that have managed to damage their devices that will certainly not be covered under Apple’s warranty. One of the most common reported bugs wass the loss of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
But today another unsuccesfull unlocking story has been published in the Internet. A photo has been posted on ImageShack:

The user whose Apple iPhone exploded posted the following to the Hackintosh forum:
“We were so happy, all the software part was done, so we started opening the iPhone. The antenna cover was a bit tricky but eventually it came off. Then we started to open the metal cover (after taking out the 3 screws) and PUFF, up it went in smoke, I think my collegue must have touched something. It literally went up in black smoke. I was so hot that when I tried to pick it up I burnt my fingers. So, this is for sure the most difficult part of the whole process. I don’t know what he did, as I had just stepped out of the room to fetch something when I heard a scream…they got such a fright.”
Unlock your lovely toy at your own risk.
Though Steve Jobs is rumored recently he will announce official ringtone creating software from Apple on Sept. 5th, Ambrosia Software company went ahead and has released iToner software, Mac OS X application that allows you to transfer custom ringtones for your Apple iPhone - without modifying, hacking or having to reset your iPhone. Personally I don’t know an easier interface than drag and drop, which iToner is bringing to the table. You drag and drop MP3 or AAC audio files on iToner’s window, click on Sync button, and music files are automatically copied into the iPhone’s ringtones section. Ambrosia confirms that all ringtones will continue to work after future iPhone OS updates.

The only one real lack is an inability to modify MP3/AAC files, selecting the portion of a track you actually want to play as your ringtone. For ringtone modifying you will need a special software like Amadeus or another sound editor.

The software is available for download (2.7MB), the cost $15. There is also 30-day trial period.
