If you suddenly found out that your lovely iPhone refuses to get audio signal through earpieces (you don’t hear a call), but it deliver sound only when with speakerphone option turned on, or you have a bug when no audio is delivered through headphones or through stereo headset, don’t worry. Recently there is appeared very simple fix. You need to unplug then re-plug headphones or any other compatible device into Apple iPhone’s audio jack several times.

But there is another problem that may appeare after this fi, your iPhone could “forget” which mode it is in, erroneously thinking that it should still send audio through the audio jack instead of the earpiece. You should try the following method to fix this bug:

* Reset your iPhone by holding down the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears;
* Restore your iPhone: Click the Restore button under the Summary tab. Restoring the phone will erase contacts, calendars, photos and other data on the phone, but will restore automatically backed-up information including text messages, notes, call history, contact favorites, sound settings, widget settings, etc.

Big thanks for this manual to iPhoneAtlas
