After hackers claiming that they have gained full access to iPhone’s filesystem, this open up a all kind of huge possibilities to customize your iPhone under your needs. One of these possibilities have used guys from ModMyiPhone, thay have developed hack to customize your iPhone’s background.

The step by step instructions to change iPhone’s background consists of 15 steps.
The good thing is if something goes wrong you can easily get back your native iPhone background but you have to proceed through all steps very carefully, ModMyiPhone won’t make any guarantees.
So let’s start, follow these 15 steps:
Step 1. If you have not followed the Get Connected Guide, do so now. If you have, we’ll jump right in.
Step 2. You will need modified icons for your background. We are essentially creating 4 icons which are as tall as the iPhone screen, with an image sliced on them, giving you a full background on the iPhone. For this initial guide, I will be using JakeyBoy’s icon files.
Unzip Jakey’s background icons to your desktop. Put the icon.png from the Calculator folder into your phonedmg folder on your desktop.
Step 3. Start up Terminal and type ./iphoneinterface and return to run iphoneinterface.
Step 4. Type cd /Applications/Calculator.app/ and hit return, then type putfile icon.png and hit return.
Step 5. Now put that icon.png we put in the phonedmg folder from Step 2b back into the Calculator folder in the Background! Folder. Now take the icon.png from the Clock folder in the Background! Folder and place it in the phonedmg folder.
Step 6. Back in Terminal, type cd /Applications/MobileTimer.app/ and return. Then type putfile icon.png and return.
Step 7. Now put that icon.png we put in the phonedmg folder from Step 5 back into the Clock folder in the Background! Folder. Now take the icon.png from the Notes folder in the Background! Folder and place it in the phonedmg folder.
Step 8. Type cd /Applications/MobileNotes.app/ and hit return. Then type putfile icon.png and return.
Step 9. Now put that icon.png we put in the phonedmg folder from Step 7 back into the Notes folder in the Background! Folder. Now take the icon.png from the Settings folder in the Background! Folder and place it in the phonedmg folder.
Step 10. Type cd /Applications/Preferences.app/ and hit return. Then type putfile icon.png and return.
Step 11. That should be it! But hold on, before we can get those on your screen, we need to send your iPhone back to “jail” so iTunes will recognize it again. To do so, type cd /System/Library/Lockdown and return to get to the Lockdown directory.
Step 12. Now type rmdir Services.plist and hit return to remove the unlocked.plist file.
Step 13. Type putfile Services.plist and return to put the rejailed.plist back up…
Step 14. Type quit and return.
Step 15. Hold the sleep/wake button and home screen button on your iPhone for a few seconds to power it down, then power it back up by holding the sleep/power button again.

Despite multiple confirmations from webresources like CNN or Engadget, that there are many many pessimists who unsure is iPhoneSIMFree Unlock software really works. The main reason of course is absense of the video proof of iPhone’s unlocking process. Well this is it, the exclusive video proof of the unlock process. Big thanks to Gizmodo website, who filmed this detailed unlock process with notes about the process from the iPhoneSIMFree team. Watch this amazing VIDEO exclusively on Gizmodo.

iPhone unlock process is very simple. When you buy the unlock software from some retailer, software will be loaded directly onto your iPhone, during unlocking process software will check to see if your IMEI is “allowed” to be unlocked. All unlock process tooks about 2 or 3 minutes, as you can see in this video. Unlocking proces is simple even for very average user, you lauch application, press “Apple” button and observe how application do everything for you, and after 3 minutes you will finally see “Unlocking Successfull”. That’s it.

CNN and Engadget were not allowed to show this video of iPhone unlocking.
So all pessimists can finally relax. iPhoneSimFree are real and their unlock software really works, no doubt.
