Apple iPod and iPhone are amazing music gadgets, but they’re solitary devices. You can freely download tons of tunes on them, but only you can hear them. Of course, you can get speakers and dock your iPod or iPhone into those, but now it’s not exactly personal any more if it’s stuck in one room. The iPort in-wall dock is essentially a pretty box that you can hang on a wall that will allow you to control it from anywhere in your networked home. True home-based multimedia streaming from your iPod or iPhone. The gadget is slick, but unfortunately, it’s not cheap - $200 for a one-way unit, or $800 for a two-way unit. But iPort possibilities are truly amazing and if you are a tech maniac then this device is born for you.
