Gregory Ng from iPhoneMatters has published very funny post concerning the signature at the end of every email sent from iPhone. I think many of you have received emails from your friends or work buddies with signature at the end of it “Sent from iPhone”. Well Gregory try to explain why people add this signature to email. Read the most interesting moments of this post below.
“Some argue that is simply a way to show off that you are up with the latest technology. Others defend the action with the explanation that it tips off the recipient as to why the message is curt, short, or riddled with mistakes (iPhone’s predictive typing feature is good, but not perfect).”
Gregory also offer others variants of signatures.
The “Sent from iPhone” signature is cool but there are other options. How about:
- “Sent via the full internet…on my phone”
- “This message had my fingers all over it”
- “Sent from my personal computer in my pocket”
- “Sent while listening to _______ on my iPhone”
- “iPhone. Yeah, I’ve got one.
- “Proud iPhone owner since 06.29.07″
And what about Google’s concept of cellphone, so called GPhone.
I can only imagine what Google will do as a default signature for the GPhone. Maybe a message that links directly to products based on the contents of the message? Like “Sent from GPhone (which recommends the new Dyson Vaccuum Cleaner”
Big thanks to Gregory Ng.
