After the release of the notorious version of iPhone’s firmware under number 1.1.1 has passed some days, and the worst rumors had time to prove to be true - now all unlocked iPhones with installed 1.1.1 update are completely, you can’t call, you can’t SMS, you can’t listen music or watch videos, you can’t surf the web, you can’t play any games, you can’t do anything with your lovely Apple’s toy.
From all huge list of apps created for iPhone and has had time to appear in the last few months, the half will not function on unlocked iPhones. Now it becomes more difficult to get, for example, your own ringtone, i am not speaking about paid ringtones in iTunes Store.

Many did not expect, that Apple will go so far. There was a rumor, that Cupertino will not prevent to use iPhone with another carrier, in fact it would help the company to sell more gadgets. But such obstacles with new 3rd-party apps has become a big surprise.
However, Steve Jobs always was coldly speaking about attempts of strangers to enrich the software of Apple’s platforms. In 1984 he has declared: “This is not an additional possibilities, it is simply a bug”.
Nokia in the meantime tries to make from this situation own goods. Recently a new advertising of the Finnish company has appear in the Web, this is what Nokia speaking about in their trailer. “Nokia is opened for 3rd-party applications. It is opened for widgets. It is opened to all”.

Hackers have already started to try to crack the new version of firmware, but unsuccessfully for this moment. Anyhow, position of Apple is completely clear. “It reminds the game in a cat and mouse” , this is what Steve Jobs has told concerning the “unlocking” of iPhone on a recent conference. Apple in this game - a cat.
