Microsoft has thought up not to delay with the announcement of new Zune players after their photos have appeared in the Internet - today have been presented all technical parameters of Microsoft’s gadgets, and also a new social network of owners of Zune players called Zune Social.

So, the second generation Zune will be released in three basic variants 4GB, 8GB and 80GB. First two will use flash-memory ($150 and $200), but in the last one will have a 1,8-inch HDD, cool. The new Zune80 will cost $250.

It is necessary to note, that Zune players got rid of push-button management instead of which has appeared touchpad called Zune Pad with four main keys. Of course it’s not the same intuitive iPod’s scrolling wheel, but some step forward. Zune 2G also will support such video formats as H.264 and MPEG-4, and even synchronization with a computer through Wi-Fi. By the way, as you already understand the computer should have the one and only Windows OS.

But there is one thing which Apple should pay all attention, it is a new Internet-service called Zune Social. Zune users can access it through Wi-Fi, and start to exchange tracks. The Key difference from similar function of the first generation of Zune players - data exchange through the Internet without a binding to a local point of access.

Well new Zune 2G will hardly make appreciable competition to Apple, at least, this year. Yes, the set of functions is impressive, but it is extremely unbalanced. For example, the size of the screen of Zune’s flash-model with a new video formats is only 1,8 inches. And what about Zune Social - without function of an exchange of music files this service is obscure.
