The Famous iPhone Dev Team have been worked very hardly during these days have finally managed to jailbreak the iPocalypse 1.1.1 firmware. For this moment guys are very near to a release a general-use tool, so be patient, the freedom is near.

It’s worth to mention all these amazing people personally: dinopio, asap18, netkas, Martyn, mjc, Niacin, BloomFilter, pytey, tE_gU, pumpkin, roxfan, sam, SmileyDude, NerveGas, Nate True, Arminius, DirectriX, ixtli, kroo, zibri, xorl, and the rest of the team, thanks guys for the hope.
So what does this jailbreak really can do?
* Third Party apps run. Kind of. We probably have to recompile many of them for the new frameworks because many of them crash.
* Springboard no longer recognizes DisplayOrder.plist. And the list of “whitelisted” apps (that is, the official Applications including Safari, Photos, Calendar, etc) seems to be hard-coded into Springboard.app
* The iPhone has been activated via third-party workarounds.
* The 1.1.1 binaries barely work with 1.0.2 — at least not well enough to run the music store without major hacking.
* The Mobile Terminal App works on 1.1.1.
* The entire bsd suite still works — as do standard command-line utilities compiled for ARM.
* 1.1.1 references both com.apple.mobile.radio and com.apple.mobile.nike.
* The jailbreak method is nowhere near ready for prime time. So please be patient.

Big thanks to Erica from Tuaw
The famous Seeqpod - the World’s Largest Index of Playable Internet Music has recently released fantastic fully user friendly interface for iPodTouch and iPhone.

This application is using Apple’s “Web 2.0 SDK” only for piracy, ups. Of course it is a huge disapoitment for Cupertino, as Seeqpod app could become important iTunes Music Store competitor especially in desktop mode, Seeqpod offer mp3 files downloading directly to your Mac, how about that.
The main idea of this application is that it searches the Internet for mp3 and video files, and indexes them using the metadata in files.

One big lack of Seeqpod’s utility, it doesn’t host any of these media files so they are probably in the clear for now. However, content companies that wish to find locations of their content pirated on the net can also use Seeqpod’s interface to find people illegally sharing their wares. Only time will tell how long this service will last.
