During last year’s Christmas period, the amount of visits of Google’s website from Apple iPhone has surpassed the amount of visits from any other mobile device. Thus, for a short time period the iPhone became the most popular mobile device for surfing in the Internet. However, a couple of days later the iPhone traffic has fallen down lower, than the traffic of Nokia devices on Symbian OS, however it remained on the second place. Considering, that under Symbian works a whole family of various Nokia’s models, we can say with confidence, that until now Apple iPhone is the most popular mobile device in the Internet.

This is very surprising fact, if we considering, that Apple iPhone share in the world smart phones and communicators market is only 2%, whereas Symbian has — 63%, and Windows Mobile — 11%. Similar disproportions in the traffic (i mean, the abnormal iPhone popularity in the Internet surfing) were declared also by other sources, including Yahoo and AdMob - an advertising platform for mobile sites.
