According to analyst Yair Reiner, AT&T pays the grant $325 for new iPhone 3G.

If it is the truth, iPhone 3G can cost $524 and $624 for 8 Gb and 16 Gb accordingly, with a sale without a binding to the carrier. It is necessary to take into account the fact, that carriers subsidize the typical smart phone at the rate of about $200.

Reiner also has added, that AT&T pays to Apple additional $100 for new subscribers registered in Apple Stores that brings the commission in total $425.
