On a website eidac has been published a method of backup switching-off in iTunes for faster synchronization. All is verysimple - your problem, as a matter of fact, is reduced to copy/paste of one text fragment. But at first make a file backup copy iTunesPrefs.xml and close iTunes if it is launched.
1. Find a file iTunesPrefs.xml. Usually it is in C:Documents and SettingsusernameApplication DataApple ComputeriTunes or C:Documents and SettingsusernameLocal SettingsApplication DataApple ComputeriTunes.
Attention: If folder Application Data is not displayed, switch on display of all latent files and folders.
2. We make a backup copy of file iTunesPrefs.xml;
3. We open a file iTunesPrefs.xml by means of any text editor (Notebook);
4. We find a section called User Preferences and we will insert there the following code after a first dict>.
5. We save a file and restart iTunes. Now backup is deactivated. If it is necessary to switch on, simply delete this small fragment with a code.
