DevTeam in their blog have informed, that update of PwnageTool 2 for an iPhone OS 2.0.1 already on the approach. But it concerns only a first generation of iPhones. If you have casually updated - nothing terrible, the device can be recovered.

Much worse situation with iPhone 3G. Hack for old baseband is not present, and if you also are updated on 2.0.1 - you can say goodbye with a thought about your lovely unlocked cell phone.

Summarizing aforesaid - do not update!
