Let’s find out what is the real maximum speed of data transmition through Wi-Fi and through EDGE in Apple iPhone? Here experimental data.

We have: Apple iPhone and a file 9.4 Mb.
We need to compare speed of downloading through WiFi and through EDGE.
Result of this test: through EDGE the file has been downloaded in 15 minutes 41 second, but through WiFi - in 1 minute of 11 seconds, So we have the following downloading speeds: EDGE - 10.2 Kb/sec and WiFi - 135.6 Kb/sec accordingly.
And what about GPRS? With 2.7 Kb/sec speed, it was necessary about an hour on this file downloading. Therefore first try to fing the nearest hot-spots, and only then try to use other data transmiting methods.

19.4 Mb is quite big for wireless but it’s good it is possible now.
