Experts of analytical company Juniper Research have carried out researches in the field of the game mobile industry, results eloquently say, that popularity of games for mobile devices steadily grows. And the most popular platform is Apple iPhone.
According to the company, the quantity of loadings of Java-games has decreased in the Western Europe and the North America in 2008, however it is quite compensated by volume of loaded game applications in App Store.
Analysts notice, that as a whole popularity of games to Europe and America has decreased for last year, it depends in Asia, Africa and in the Near East certain growth is observed. In these regions the game segment has grown on 20 %, and the income of sales has made 3.8 billion dollars in 2008.
The Far East and China are the largest sectors from the point of view of loading of games, and the Indian subcontinent and Europe, under forecasts of experts, can be pulled out on the second line only next year. In the report the special role iPhone as most progressive game platform is marked and the forecast is given, that by 2012 more than half of all will be financed in the advertising purposes.
“The tandem iPhone and App Store has recovered all mobile game industry”, - the author of the report doctor Vindozor Holden (Windsor Holden) considers. “Apple it was possible to create the innovative devices giving huge open space before developers of games, differing special appeal and design for users. In Apple have thought and of business clients, the software for which opens new horizons and a source of incomes for developers”

1I think that if you add games to any device the users of that device will start playing games on it more and more. It isn’t the device really it is just that games are such a huge deal for so many people. Plus if your going to add games to any gadget/device adding it to one that people have at all times and is mobile like the iphone is just plain sense.
