Zoom User Reviews Does anyone know what the difference between squash and racket ball is? We don’t but the real fans probably do. This iPhone game is titled Touch Squash and if you are looking for a racket game for your iPhone, it could be fun. The abundance of apps currently available makes for a very competitive market, and Touch Squash is definitely in here to serve a small niche market. Bouncing the ball back and forth reminds us of the old Nintendo Pong game. Remember those old Nintendo games that were oddly addicting, despite the simplicity of the graphics and music? We can’t imagine becoming addicted to a game like Touch Squash but then again we don’t play Squash much. The music and sound effects are excellent and helped to give this app some “umph”. I will give credit to the designers, however. The overall look and feel of the app is very clean, and the 3D graphics are sharp. The logo is nice, and consistent with the theme of the game. The menu navigation is smooth and very clear but beware, if you click on the “high scores” button, you will be catapulted to what seems like an entirely different application. Touch Squash integrates the AGON online social platform where users create a name and profile, then are given the option to add friends and compete against other users to achieve score awards and such. Yet another social networking concept which is overwhelmingly complex for its purposes. The idea of a racket ball application that allows users to compete online seems amusing. The overall complaint we have was that our thumb was larger than the racket it was supposed to control. It was difficult to see where we were hitting the ball, and it made it very hard to win even one game. We were quite literally squashed by this game. Overall Touch Squash stands alone in the App Store as the only app to offer Squash lovers the ability to battle each other on their iPhone, who would be likely candidates for buying this unique racket gaming app. Here is a video demo of the Touch Squash app on the iPhone This 3rd Party App is available at the Apple iTunes AppStore.
