Piper Jaffray analytic Gene Munster in his recent report has informed, that American AT&T pays Apple $18 per month for each subscriber who purchase iPhone with AT$T contract. Now i shall make some very simple calculations, we know the number of sold Apple’s devices - 1,150,000 and we know the sum which AT&T pays Apple every month - $18, so we got:
1,150,000 x $18 = $20,700,000 - this is how much Apple gets Every Month from AT&T.

Taking into account, that AT&T contract with iPhone’s buyer is 24 months long, we can get calculate how much Apple will get for every sold Apple iPhone for two years:
$18 x 24 months = $432
These are latent payments of American Economy. When Apple has decided to reduce of iPhone’s price for $200 in September, Jobs already has calculated everything in his head (minus $200 for every sold iPhone, but plus $432 for every iPhone with AT&T contract, we get $232 - clear profit). Steve Jobs is amazing businessman, no doubt…We should learn from him.
Since this week you could purchase Apple iPhone only through a credit card and no more than two devices in one hands, informs news agency “Associated Press”.
Apple’s representative on public relations Natalie Kerris informs, that Apple has started these restrictions only with one purpose “Apple iPhone should purchase as much as possible potential buyers and it should be in Apple Store, every time and everywhere”. And why payment will not be accepted by cash? To prevent “non authorized dealers” to sale of Apple’s device. The true reason of course - is to decrease somehow an inexhaustible iPhone’s stream on eBay.

So, in the war for device Cupertino engages the heavy artillery but is this step worth it? Well i think, that the company will lose some part of potential buyers, no doubt. But how this will help Apple to protect iPhone from “non authorized dealers”? Well, i don’t know. People i know, who are engaged in iPhone’s delivery in very different countries, use exactly the same scheme with different credit cards.
Also it is not clear, how Apple’s restriction will looks for the Law side. In Russia for refusal to accept for payment cash money it is possible to lose the license easily…
I am glad to present you a new version of Russian keyboard for Apple iPhone (now it is accessible through Installer.app).
What’s new in this release:
* Support of 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 firmware.
* The bug with application’s crash is corrected with included autocorrection of text input. Autocorrection itself is not present (but it will remember and offer words which you typed earlier).
* With 1.1.1 firmware switching between tabs is carried out through separate button “globe”.

How to activate Russian keyboard in iPhone with 1.1.1 firmware? After installation, go to Settings > General > International > Keyboards and switch on Russian keyboard.
After that it is possible to switch on Russian language, if you want of course. Localization in iPhone is not present, therefore language’s change will change only days of week, months, and some other small details.

If you have already switched on Russian language earlier, and now cannot activate the keyboard because the button is “grey, not active”, you have to change language back on English, then switch on Russian keyboard and return Russian language back.
This version will be finished on December, 13th. At this time will be ready the next version. All questions - in FAQ.
