Recently famous iPhoneAtlas has published very interesting post concerning all new features of iPhone 1.1.1 Software Update. Guys have published two lists: the list of all official features, documented by Apple, and the list of all undocumented and hidden features of this Update. Both lists are presented below, big thanks to iPhoneAtlas.

New Official features of iPhone 1.1.1 Software Update:

* iTunes Wi-Fi music store
* Louder speakerphone and receiver volume
* Home button double-click shortcut to phone favorites or music controls
* Space bar double-tap shortcut to intelligently insert period and space
* Mail attachments are viewable in portrait and landscape
* Stocks and cities in Stocks and Weather can be re-ordered
* Apple Bluetooth Headset battery status in the Status Bar
* Support for TV Out
* Preference to turn off EDGE/GPRS when roaming internationally
* New passcode lock time intervals
* Adjustable alert volume

Apple also posted a video of the new features included in the iPhone 1.1.1 update.

Undocumented Hidden features, not mentioned by Apple:

* You can now change the sound that is played when a new text message is received. Tap “Settings,” then “Sounds,” then “New Text Message.”
* There is now a “Debug console” for Safari, which shows HTML errors when rendering Web pages. Tap “Settings,” then “Safari,” then “Developer”
* There are new options for Video playback. You can start playing videos where they left off or from the beginning, and you can use closed captioning. Tap “Settings,” then “iPod.”
* iPhone’s email client can now (after the 1.1.1 update) download and play audio files in all QuickTime audio formats it supports, including MP3, AAC and WAV.
* Mail port settings You can now set a custom port for mail servers directly on the iPhone by going to the Mail pane under “Settings,” and selecting your account. Previously you had to set this variable on your Desktop then re-sync the system in order to set a mail port.
* International Keyboard input Though the iPhone doesn’t sport the same ability to select different language keyboards from within the Settings application or switch between international keyboards like the iPod touch, the 1.1.1 update allows the iPhone to bring up certain International keyboard sets automatically when navigating to a Web page encoded in that language. In Mail or a text message, you can press and hold certain keys (like C, or N) for a menu of corresponding international characters.
* H.264 video boost The iPhone can now playback H.264 video at throughput rates up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Baseline Profile up to Level 3.0 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats. Previously the maximum encoding throughput rate for H.264 video was 1.5 Mbps.

The upgrade makes the iPhone’s Safari browser more compatible with various videos on the Web and (presumably) will make more H.264-encoded content available through the YouTube application.
