Steve Jobs give free iPhone to all Apple employees with 1 or more year of service

Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs announced earlier in an all hands meeting that all employees with 1+ year of service would receive a free 8GB iPhone by end of July! So does this count towards the 10M units Apple is targeting to sell by end of 2008?
